ZOLAR X: Blog

What a great trip! 5 days of travel, rehearsals with Don Bolles & then the show & back to the Bay area. We got the invite back in Feb., 2010 from the city of Los Angeles to open for The Tubes...wooteeta (cool)! So, that meant in true Zolar X style, new stagewear, small and large props and the intricate prop work of new sets of antenna for Ygarr and Moto Bass Unit were hammered out. A lot of preparation for 30 minutes BUT it created some great memories for the 1,000 or so fans that were there that night, under the stars in downtown L.A. for the Summer Series FREE Concert put on by the city.
This was a special night with Don Bolles sitting in on drums with Zolar X-truly cool piece of L.A. Rock history. We got behind the scenes pics, vid and of the concert there was some supersonic video shot by Graham Hart. We put together a video of some snips of the concert and behind the scenes and the entire Zolar X show will be on a DVD...more info to come on this as we finalize the details.

Tights & waistlines...

It's not easy being a Zolarian...You can always tell when the band has been dieting for a while as the conversation turns into 15 minutes of in depth talk about cheesecake, berry pies and donuts. Tonight we had hamburgers for a change & they were really great!! Tomorrow, it's back to salads & fruit. RVX

The ZOLAR X kitty, Felix, needs a temporary home while the band tours. If anyone is interested, please contact us for more info.

Nok Voo (thank you).

The one item that stands out in this 2010 ZX auction is the 1974 acetate of Space Age Love...
I don't believe there are any other copies left on planet Earth... It's safe to say this is a one of a kind record!
The large hole 7 inch 45 is from 1982  with "Mirrors" "Science" & "Blues on Blue" one of ten pressed
Zory Zenith autographs from prison plus many items from ZOLAR X's history
Other items are the result of my 15 years in Nevada without ZOLAR X in my life, I collected many Sci-Fi items as a substitute... Ygarr Ygarrist
