June 2010

We get many comments like "I can't wait to see this" or "is it ever going to happen?" We are in regular communica with the director. It should be complete to enter in film festivals for 2011 which means the editing and sound will be complete by Oct.-Dec. of 2010. It is a big project - to make a documentary and we feel very fortunate that the director had the drive that propelled him into the search for the strange band that he had looked at (a picture) in a book. It was from this photo that spawned the search for the music, then the band members, then the idea of "hey, a doc would be cool about these guys"...This part of the story really should be told in full at some point in time...Maybe the bonus footage?

Interviews with early, original ZOLAR X members Ed Dorn (Rogan) and Ronnie Eiseman (Romm Eclipse) happened during July. These interviews round out the doc giving different perspectives of the formation and evolution of ZOLAR X during the different time periods. Steve Binder, entertainment industry/producer was also interviewed and gave an incredible account that will be unveiled inside the story of ZOLAR X.

Chuck Nolan, the director of Starmen on Sunset, will be traveling to L.A. and will be working with Rhaine (editor, camera woman & producer) to complete the last interviews and to finish the rough cut. He was here last year this time and if this time is anything like last year it will be another woteeta (cool) event!
